With 160+ member Indigenous Nations representing over 300 million people and advocating for 5000+ unrepresented indigenous nations, UAN promotes dignified Indigenous leadership rooted in ancestral wisdom and collaborative innovation.

The organization provides a global platform for Indigenous voices, develops responses to Indigenous marginalization, and offers guidance honoring Indigenous sovereignty and traditional knowledge systems while collaborating with partners to enhance Indigenous community resilience.

UAN's Constitution recognizes the fundamental link between Indigenous self-determination and global sustainability, operating through the 6 Pillars of Global Enlightenment—Cognitive, Emotional, Social, Environmental, Moral, and Spiritual—addressing complex challenges where Indigenous rights intersect with climate change, biodiversity loss, and cultural extinction.
